Aluminium Window Factory Capability: What to Verify

A factory visit answers questions a catalogue cannot, but most buyers never make one, and the decision still has to be taken. What decides it is the paper trail behind the plant: who extrudes the aluminium, how many bases run the sections, what the catalogue actually covers, and which documents travel with an order. This guide sets out the evidence Adam Alux can show on each of those points, and what to check against it before a series is confirmed.

Extrusion in-house since 1997

The first question about a factory is who owns the extrusion line. Adam Alux has extruded in-house since 1997, in 6063-T5 aluminium, so die design, wall thickness and the batch that runs a series are decided inside one operation. That matters after the first order: a section can be re-run against the original die, and alloy and temper stay the same from one phase to the next. A reseller cannot promise either.

Three production bases

Adam Alux runs three production bases. What that buys a project is repeatability rather than a headline number: one extrusion source can serve a phased development, and a second order is matched to the section already approved rather than to a new drawing. Ask how a repeat order is handled and which base runs the series you are buying. The answer should name a line and a section, not a general capacity claim.

The catalogue as scope evidence

Scope is the easiest claim to check, because a factory either publishes the range or it does not. The Adam Alux catalogue runs to 254 routes, from casement and slider windows to curtain wall mullions and louvers, and covers 21 window series, 28 door series, seven curtain wall lines, plus shading and four further families. One extrusion source can therefore supply a whole envelope, so window, door and facade sections arrive from one place and one finish line.

Documents that travel with an order

Every quotation leaves with a dimensional pack, and CAD drawings are released on request once the series is confirmed. The pack carries section drawings, the glazing line and hardware cut-outs, so a fabricator can set up tooling without a second exchange of emails. Samples are available before an order is placed, including a sample profile set and a finished test unit. Lead time is confirmed per project at quotation, against the die batch, the finish and the glass.

OEM and ODM supply

A factory that runs OEM and ODM projects handles the parts a private brand needs: private-label packing, documentation carrying the buyer's name, and export-standard containers. Adam Alux supplies on those terms, so section, finish and packing are confirmed against the buyer's specification before production. Ask for the packing detail and the document set in the same reply as the price, because both are part of what the container has to satisfy at the port.

Certification and the model numbers

The certificate to ask for is the one that names what you are buying. Adam Alux holds CE attestation of conformity under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, tested to EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2016 for aluminium alloy doors and windows, under certificate M.2024.206.C101817 issued by UDem, Ankara, on 07.06.2024 and valid to 06.06.2029. Check the model numbers listed on the certificate against the series in your order. Then ask for the pack and a sample profile set in the finish you intend to buy, and book the review before the order.

FAQ

Frequently asked

How long has Adam Alux been extruding aluminium?

Since 1997, on an in-house line, in 6063-T5 aluminium. That covers die design, wall thickness and production batches inside one operation, so a repeat order for a phased project can be run against the original die. Alloy and temper stay consistent from one phase to the next.

What does the Adam Alux product range cover?

The catalogue runs to 254 routes across 21 window series, 28 door series and seven curtain wall lines, plus shading, garage, sunroom, interior door and hardware families. It runs from casement and slider windows to curtain wall mullions and louvers, so one extrusion source can supply a whole envelope.

What documentation comes with a quotation?

A dimensional pack, shipped with the quote in PDF with CAD drawings on request. It carries section drawings, the glazing line and hardware cut-outs, so a fabricator can prepare tooling before production starts. Samples, including a profile set and a finished test unit, can be sent before an order is placed.

Does Adam Alux supply under OEM terms?

Yes. OEM and ODM projects are supplied with private-label packing, your-brand documentation and export-standard containers. The section, finish and packing are confirmed against the buyer's specification before production, and the packing detail and document set come back with the price.

What certification does Adam Alux hold?

CE attestation of conformity under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, tested to EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2016 for aluminium alloy doors and windows. The certificate is M.2024.206.C101817, issued by UDem, Ankara, on 07.06.2024 and valid to 06.06.2029. It lists covered model numbers, so check those against the series in your order.
