Working With Adam Alux
Aluminium window supply for developers
A developer buys the same window three hundred times and needs the three hundredth to match the first, because the last block has to look like the one handed over two years earlier. Adam Alux has produced aluminium window and door systems since 1997, extruding its own 6063-T5 profiles in three production bases in China, which is what keeps a specification stable between phases.

What a developer is buying
On a residential or mixed-use project the buyer is not choosing a window so much as a repeatable outcome. Three things decide whether that holds: one supplier who covers both windows and doors, so colours and hardware do not drift between packages, a documented specification the consultant can approve once, and a sample unit that shows the product before the order is placed.
A fourth point usually shows up late: the drawing changes. A window schedule that goes from 300 units to 340 between phases should not restart the approval process.
One extrusion source across the whole unit mix
Adam Alux runs 35 series, 28 door lines and 7 window lines, all on profiles extruded in-house from 6063-T5 primary aluminium. The window range runs from the 50 series entry casement to the 126 six-track panorama system, and the door range covers sliding, casement, entrance and fire-rated work. Because both ranges come off the same extrusion and finishing lines, one colour reference covers the whole project.
That is the practical reason to keep windows and doors with one supplier: RAL matching and two-tone faces are held once, across both packages, rather than negotiated twice.
When the drawing changes between phases
Windows are re-specified more often than they are replaced. A phase that moves to larger lights steps up within the same family, for example from the 110 series at 1.4 mm to the 110 series 2.0 version on a 2.0 mm wall, without changing the module geometry. A phase that steps up the section moves to the 112 or 118 series, on a 5-20 A-5 mm or a 5-27 A-5 mm insulating unit.
Send the change and we will re-quote the affected modules with the dimensional pack, and confirm whether the finish and the frame detail carry over or need a new colour reference.
What you receive before production
The quotation arrives with a dimensional pack, in PDF as standard and CAD on request, covering the module sizes, the section drawings and the hardware layout. On request it is preceded by a sample profile set and one finished test window, which is where a consultant sign-off is usually won.
For the delivery itself, packing is private-label where you want it, and units ship in export-standard containers. OEM and ODM terms apply to the whole programme, not only to a single order.
How to start
Send the window and door schedule, the module sizes and floor heights, the glazing build-up you are holding to, the finish or RAL reference, and the phase programme with the unit counts per phase.
A first quotation comes back as a per-module schedule with the dimensional pack and a sample proposal. Tell us if the project needs a test unit before phase one and it is included in the plan rather than quoted as an extra.
FAQ
Frequently asked
Can one window specification be held across several phases?
Yes. The profiles are extruded in-house from 6063-T5 primary aluminium, so a specification approved for phase one is reproduced against the same section drawings later. Colours are held through RAL matching, and two-tone exterior and interior faces can be repeated across a phased programme.
Do you supply windows and doors on one order?
Yes, and that is usually the point of a single-source package. Both ranges come off the same extrusion and finishing lines, so one colour reference covers the window schedule and the door schedule, and the quotation arrives as one document with a single dimensional pack.
What documentation comes with the quotation?
A dimensional pack in PDF: module sizes, section drawings and the hardware layout for each opening. CAD files follow on request, in the drawing standard your consultant or facade engineer already uses. Sample profiles and a finished test window can be shipped before production is released.
How is a volume project packed and shipped?
Units are packed for export-standard containers, with private-label packing available where the project carries its own brand. The packing schedule is agreed at quotation and tied to the delivery phases, so cartons arrive in the order the site installs them.
What if a later phase needs a different window?
Send the affected modules and we re-quote them inside the same family where the geometry allows, for example from the 110 series 1.4 mm to the 2.0 mm version, or up to the 112 and 118 series for a wider glass cavity. The finish and frame detail are confirmed again at that point.
